Mugen Type R

Postby ep3 » Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:15 pm

For those of you who are unaware Honda are finally bringing out a mugen tuned civic type R (FN2) road car. However you are looking at £35k to get one  and only a limited number made.
Or you could go for this version. This is called the Mugen 200 (200 being how many are being made) The mugen 200 is different only by its looks. You get a new front splitter, new rear splitter and new wheels. I think thats it engine is still standard in the mugen 200 (only tuned to 240bhp in the £35k one).
And here are the pics.

one word...............i want! Oops, that two words! lol. that looks sweet! Whats the rear spoiler like? i take it the mugen 200's are a bit like the MB6 civic vtis, a standard vti with limited edition kit etc. Do the honda dealerships get a standard TypeR delivered, and then fit the mugen kit and extras to it?

No how you see it is how we got it. We will have to fit the spoiler (apparently takes 3hours to fit) unless the bodyshop fit it as it comes unpainted and costs £1500 haha. Yea the mugen 200 is like the vti and vtis, same engine and everything just limited kit fited.

Hopefully this link will work but it shows you what the spoiler looks like.

I think it costs around 3 grand more than the standard TypeR. Not sure what the standard one costs though!

That one at the top is about £24,000, and normal FN2 Type R GT is about £20,000, and a bog standard FN2 type r is about £18,000 i think. The super duper Mugen Tuned one is about £32,000, and the super super duper duper one thats above in Red......god knows, but its lots of £££££££ and there aint many been built!! Happy FN2 hunting!!

Or, you could buy a EP3......which is better.....(did i just say that out loud?  )
